Can anyone advise me if a Caravan awning will fit a Peninne Pathfinder and if so what make would I look for? I am looking for a full awning rather than a porch awning.

Many Thanx

they don't automatically fit as caravan awnings are attatched via beading and teh FC ones are attached via zips.  In addition, if using a caravan awning that has inside pole frames ( as do the FC ones) then the poles may not match up.  Also to consider is the fact that FCs have a pointed side wall where as caravans are striaght at the top for attaching.  These issues can be got around though.

I assume you do not have the FC awning with your unit but would recommend trying to get one of those first.

If you are not looking for that then maybe you want to think about getting a caravan awning adapted by having a zip attached instead of the beading, which is not difficult to sort. The material may also need taking up in places.   You may then struggle though to get a fully fitted full awning but should consider some of the larger lightweight porch awnings that have poles on the outside (like many tents)  Steer on here makes quite a large porch awning that is adapted for FCs too or you could buy your own and get adapted.

Thanks to both andcow and steer_2001

the thing is I already have an awning for my pathfinder and when I bought the unit the previous owner stated that he had never used the awning. silly old me thinking that most of us FC people were honest and up front (as most of us are) I took his word for it. After opening the awning I found it badly stained with mildew in parts and thought it would be best to replace it. Having looked at the prices of the awnings on the Peninne site they are worth more than the FC in it's current state and I have'nt got that amount of money, this why I am trying to renovate the FC.

Once again many thanx- brianphilip

You may want to try second hand pennine awning then, as above Steer has one and you do see others popping up sometimes.  It may also be worth looking at sending your exisiting awning off to be cleaned and reproofed somewhere instead as that mught be more cost effective.   Tent Valeting Service do this up here and there may be others closer to you.  Finally, as you have nothing to lose, it may be worth buying some form of canvas/awning cleaner and using that your self.  You will need to really hose down and will have to reproof afterwareds but as long as the fabric is intact currently this may be worth doing.

Thnk they're talking about curtain poles not supplied rather than the Awning frame/ poles.
