Do you use a storm strap over the top? Or something else?

I'm not just paranoid, the one on the Camplet got caught by a gust of wind and I think we were lucky there was no damage. The poles fell out and the push up bars both collapsed, it was quite a shock!

We used this set up on a Camplet and it withstood winds in excess of gale force 9 in Holland in autumn 2008

One thing to bear in ind if you have you bikes on the back of the car is that you need to make sure that the bikes do not clash with the front box when turning corners, especially tight ones! We have our fridge in the boot so I can power it using the car on the journey. You have to be careful if putting it in the centre aisle of a TT as when the TT is folded the inner tents can cover the exhaust vent of the fridge causing it to overheat (I speak from experience here BTW)
