How old is the clubaman, I used to own a 1986 model and have some photos, I could email them to you, I don`t think that I would be able to attach them to my post.

Check the panels, if they feel spongey then that's usually a sign that there is some damp. Look in the back of, cupboards and under seats for signs of damp. We once looked at a Stirling which had a white powdery residue around the wheelarch under the seats, this showed it was damp.
Get an awning with it if you can, they are very hard to get hold of separate to the unit.
The 86 is different colours, I think the early 90 models are green.
When looking use your nose to guide you, if you smell anything other than canvas stay clear as the smell might take some shifting. Check for stain marks both inside and out. Check the bed boards they should be pale in colour, if not it might not have been stored correctly.Look inside the cupboards and the underbed storage for signs of damp. If the unit has been looked after well there should be no signs of anything.
