As it was a great day weather wise today i decided to get the camper out of its winter slumber.
Gave it a good spring clean but the windows have got water staining on them. I didn't want to try any cleaning products in case they damaged the canvas or the plastic so i tried a damp cloth but it would not shift them.
Auto Glym Fast Glass cleaner can be used on plastic windows if you read the description of applications. I use it on the car windows including the windscreen and it works quite well. There is also a short video clip at the bottom of the page too.
I have used good old fashioned spray windolene (not the pink cream version) or Mr Muscle window cleaner spray, just make sure you spray it on your cloth rather than the window and then just give it a good clean as per usual. You just need to make sure you don't spray it anywhere near the canvas and that there's plenty on the cloth; and its's probably a lot cheaper than some of the other 'specialist' stuff
------------- Give a man a fish and he'll feed his family for a day.
Teach a man to fish and he'll sit around on a boat all day drinking beer!
i bought a bottle of the Meguiars plastx plastic cleaner and then complained it didnt do what it said.
yes it cleaned the window (a rag will do that) but it didnt get rid of the cloudiness which was why i bought it
it works ok on hard plastic but not on tent windows
