The hitch lock you are referring to is this one . You will note that the site shown is Camperlands and in the description of the hitch lock it states "covers hitch head and securing bolts".
It does cover the bolts on the tow bar, but that is only intended for when you use the hitch lock whilst whatever is being towed is parked up. This is to ensure that whatever is being towed cannot be removed from the tow bar and the tow bar bolts cannot be removed.
personally i wouldn't bother ,having seen the morning after results ,following a raid on a local secure caravan storage site ,theres virtually nothing will stop a determined thief .
the only decent caravan that escaped being stolen was one that had a drop down spike fitted to the chassis ,and even that was trashed inside as they tried to unbolt it .the site had night vision cameras all over and all the wires were cut to these .
to avoid the security gate they simply pulled down a section of 12 foot high fencing and drove the caravans out over it ,to get any caravans fitted with hitch locks they found those fitted with wheel clamps only and just changed the whole front ends over .and all this while the site owner with two bloody good guard dogs slept a hundred yards away .our caravan was dragged out of the way so they could pull down the fence which is how i got involved .if they want it they will get it

The camplet hitch bolts are easy to access even with this type of hitch lock.
For a visual detererrent,a trailer type wheel clamp (for steel wheels) is probably the best way forward. As for the " if they want it,they will get it" way of thinking,that will not satisfy an insurance company,after all,you lock your front door at home,but someone driving a bulldozer could probably get in anyway.
I have just bought an Apache hitch lock which has a disc padlock and seems very robust.
It can be fitted in seconds to lock the van to the car when using service stations etc.

When i spoke to them they said it was by alko and this was the only one that fit, you couldn't secure it to the car while stationary(services ect) and didn't cover the bolts so they could easily detach mine and replace it with another.
Think i might be worrying about this a little too much
The SAS one is exactly what i wanted so if it fits i'm happy

Didn't think I quite understood the original question, now with reading other posts I think I'm closer.
Originally at this point wrote a piece about Camperlands after market hitch just posted it when I realised it's the camp-let camper your referring to. Camperlands do have a few illustrations but the one I saw of the hitch had a braked hitch but the hitch illustrations I saw on camp-lets site showed only unbraked hitches.
As I don't know the configuration of the bolts on these hitches. 1) do Camperlands know of a suitable lock?. 2)Camp-let themselves. As the lock is for insurance purposes 1) do they accept wheel locks 2) Would they allow you to use over length bolts peened over the nuts or a blob of weld on the nuts. So that they had to be ground off and could not be removed by spanners. 3) If a lock could be found that fitted but did not reach the bolts would a plate welded to the lock body suffice? 4) What is the insurers experience with these? If no help could you not find a more amenable insurer
We use Insurance for Trailer Tents. When I first started looking at insurers I found a some were asking questions about security that were much more relevant to caravans, Insurance for Trailer Tents didn't. The premium is competitive, and they don't have particular security requirements.
We do have a hitch lock now, (the Apache one lol, might have to reconsider!), but I don't think we were able to get one to fit the Camplet. I might well be wrong, but I think there might be something a bit different about the design of the hitch.
