Must admit I am hoping our new porch awning gives us the "ultimate" in compromise of speed of construction and space for living and storage space

I think the reason ours took so long to put up is the amount of stuff we had in it. We had to basically unload to get it all sorted. We also found with a family of 4 we needed the awning and that took us ages. The storage is a problem for 4, but two people it would be plenty. Don't get me wrong I loved the FC, but hated the set up and packing. We just got rid of our caravan awning for the same reason and now onto a porch awning!

We had to swing up the wardrobe with the one we had and also lift up the sink into position. We had great times in it but took a little more setting up than a caravan and as you say, with 4 people we seemed to be carrying a car full of stuff. It is closer to tent camping but one of the things that are different with a caravan is the views you have from the lounge,

I've recently lost all my usual favourites but search Porch Awning in the FC section on here and look for the contact for LISA.
She converts porch awning to make them zip onto the pathfinder using the original awning zip.

Bode 5997: If you can find an alternative cheaper way of fitting a porch awning to your camper I would consider this.
Porch awnings are great for Bank hol. weekends but we paid £550 for one to match our's, only used it twice because we have either travelled light and stayed over for 2 nights and no need for any awning or put the full awning up when staying a week or more. Therefore £550 is a big investment and you need to know you are going to keep camper for a long time or have lots of trips to get your moneys worth.
Our folding camper is for sale on here and if we don't sell the porch awning with the camper I will be trying to sell separately.
