never had any problems with the 1.6 may be alittle slugish up hills  but been to france many times

Go on then, I'll jump in and (sort of) hijack the thread, similar question but the other way round.

I want to downsize my 1.8 Petrol car and as such think I should start looking for a smaller TT. Anyone have any thoughts on where I should be looking for a "small" trailer tent, say something that the 1.4 Civic in question could easily pull along (but with an awning big enough for cooking and a couple of chairs!)

we were told that a standard 1.6 focus / astra sized car would easily tow the crusader...we actually use a 2l A4.  I have a mercedes A150 and although the book says it can tow 1000kg braked, there is no way I'd attempt the empty crusader with that, never mind loaded.
