We use to use an extra battery for the tv and just run the 12 volt tv lead to the

battery using crock clips on rallys leaving the main battery for normal use, also if

one goes flat you may be able to get it charged while still useing the other

When we had our folding camper we had the fridge on gas & cooked/boiled kettle with gas. We had a gas heater which we used in the awning (we unzipped the tops of the doors for ventilation) We used 12v strip lights - one inside the awning & one inside the main unit.

My husband had a battery radio and in the evenings we used a portable dvd player with a 12v adaptor. We charged its battery up before we went so the first night it ran on battery & if we went out in the car we charged it through the cigar lighter otherwise we had it on 12v.

Washing up was done at the onsite facilities so we hardly used the water pump.

The battery lasted 4 nights using it like this.

Same here by and large (minus the radio!), but I wouldn't have fancied doing all that in our first ever trip out. Much easier to hook up to 240v and use that to get used to it all
