I have searched for existing threads about these and established that what I was told that this would be better for my camper now it has a mover fitted is true, especially as i am moving the camper about on gravel. What I want to know is what happens when the jockey wheel gets punctured?

Okay, so the question then is (betcha couldn't see this coming!) how often do they puncture? Is it worth it? Do I need one or would a wider non pneumatic do an okay job?

Two questions in one there - they don't puncture very often and a wider non pneumatic one would do the job but not as well.

The only downside in my experience is that they can cause the front end to 'bounce' a little bit by there is nothing better if you are moving on gravel.

They do have a habit of going down occasionally - had one that needed pumping up every time I used it! They also hang lower than a standard one when towing so can catch on bumps, unless you remove them completely.

My Pathfinder is moved on gravel with the mover and I went back to a wide non-pneumatic wheel after a while - less hassle!

Go for a wide solid or buy a spare one as well
