Hi just got our new leisure battery, bought new water pump at the weekend and can't get it to work and the fridge wont work either from the battery. Is there anyway of getting a wiring diagram for a pennine pullman folding camper 1992? we have got power to a couple of the small sockets but not to the water pump or fridge so we were wondering if its wired up wrong. would really appreciate some help with this.
can not help with the pump,but the fridge will not work from the battery.it will only work on 12v when the camper is plugged into your car(if you have twin electrics on your car.
right if you have 12v power to the small sockets ,that means its working ,i had this problem when i renewed my water pump its either the wrong type i.e 3 wires instead of 2 or most likely on a 92 model the dome foot switch needs replacing ,easy job about £6 to buy and ten minutes to install .
don't run a fridge on battery power it will drain a fully charged battery in minutes ,there should be a 240 wire and plug at the back of the cupboards search and you shall find ,or run it from gas .
to test the pump fit it as it should be in use i.e with the pump in a bucket of water ,take a lead from the + and - of the pump housing at rear of sink cupboard and run direct to battery if its working it will pump water into tap and sink .pennines of that age should have had a obsolete round pump housing fitted ,i had to change the complete unit which meant cutting a new square housing into the bodywork .so can you enlighten us what you have done
Well its all working now :-) The water pump had a problem with the wiring & tested the fridge on EHU and it works fine. Can't wait to go on holiday now to Cornwall, roll on July 28th :-)
