Hi, With all the wind we have had or having at the moment got me thinking of my awning flying over th next field so i think i need help. I have got a Pathfinder with a issabela awning and looked at the issabela tie downs but they fit in side the awning to hold down the poles if the wind gets under will that not lift the awning and just leave the poles. Looked at other sought so help needed pleaseat which you think are the best. Thanks
Can only tell you we had a dandy rally last week in some fairly strong winds, one of our members rushed off to get a storm strap before the shop closed it turned out to be the wrong type she needed a over the top sort but got one that clips to the awning.
On a dandy awning there is nowhere to clip it so i altered it to attach to the frame and it stood its ground the same as the ones with straps over the top.
------------- they said it couldnt be done so i left it and went camping
a bad days camping is better than a good day at work
For my pathfinder I brought one of the universal storm straps that fits over the top of the awning and fixes to big pegs either side.
I also put some foam under the strap where it touches the awning so the friction doesn't cause damage to canvas.
