Hi folks, when I bought our Fc I got one of these along with it. Well I have never used it, next week we are off for two weeks and I was thinking of trying it out for the wee one to play in. Any ideas how they are fitted, are they easy to fit? Does the side skirt still go on etc. Thanks for any help. I will be using the full awning is that a problem?
LyraTours, Does the pod have the zipped opening at the front, or is it the larger size pod that has the zipp at the side of the pod.
The front zipped pods are the smaller single bed units, made to go under the trailer tent bed area, and the larger zipped (double) pods are used for an extra bed/private area, normaly put up in the awning area of a TT or FC as extra private space.
As Russboy has said, they were not designed to sleep in under a FC, as the sliding bed bars would be in the way to be able to erect it properly, but you can use them as a storage area, but not ideal under the beds on the FC's.

I don't think so, not officially, I expect it was used in the awning area, or somehow erected under the bed for storage. Although if John Byrne has an official one for his Cruiser, maybe there is a way that it can be attached, as the bed areas are the same size as the Crusader. I expect John has also got what you and I have, a TT bed pod. If not I would be interested to know. As already mentioned above, there are proper seperate pods/extensions available for the Crusader awning area, but don't come cheap.
Keep us posted.

Under the bed at the rear of the van there are two plates that the bed supports fit into.
on mine there are also four more of these plates, the storage tent has inner tent hooks which locate into them and you just peg the sewn in ground sheet to the ground,
hope this helps

LyraTours, I checked the storage/bed pod i have with my Crusader, and it is a genuine part, so as John has said, it can fit under the rear bed section.
Have a look for a white label on the pod, mine has 'A356 Cruiser/Crusader/Cardinal' marked on it, so you may also have a genuine FC pod as well?

Thanks for all of your replies, I have just checked out my underbed tent and confirmed it is a genuine underbed STORAGE tent. I won't kae it with me as I don't really need it, any ideas if they are a sought after item, could I sell same as it will just sit in the garage for years,
Hi, we have the under bed storage tent which you can clip underneath the bed, we use ours all the time as we have an awning + sun canopy + loo tent and various other extra bits n pieces, I always think you never know what you may need when you get on site, depending on weather and facilities, so wouldn't be without it tbh
we have used ours several times and find it very useful.
we normally store all the bags that the awning etc fits into in it.
when we take the awning down it fits inside the storage tent along with everything in the awning.
This then leaves the camper uncluttered.
