Well im packed for the Grand Prix at Silverstone and the weather is shocking but hey ho I will have to make the most of it. Changed my TT and proofed it and was ok under the hose but it will get a good testing this weekend.
not this weekend for us,but every weekend from next week,plus a 14 nighter at the end of the month.
we were away weekend before last and it pi**ed down with very strong winds.the camper was rock solid,unlike some of the other poor campers,that either floated or blew past us in the night.
Where are you camping for silverstone? last time I went to the GP the site did not quiet down till 3am and there were generators running all the time. only 1 water tap. toilets disgusting and in filthy portacabins that were not lit. will never go back.like being in a festival field, in future will travel daily even if I have to queue and get up very early.
I'm going on Silverstone Woodlands campsite. It is noisy but they have quiet areas allocated. The facilities are great but you have to remember there are 2,000 + people on the site. I have stopped on Whittlebury previously but it was hilly and toilets and showers were not great.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
