Hi sorry if there is already an open forum, but can anyone help with advice???
Seen quite a few trailer tents that have cross roof bars fitted to allow a roof box to be fitted on top. Does anyone have an experience of this, is there a special fitting available for them, can it be done to any trailer ? Any advice or personal experiences greatly received please, the camper in question is an old transcamper 2000 ( year) not hard top.

They are available for most tt's. Camperlands used to be the dealer for Transcamper so worth an ask. Also have a look out for Alpencruzer racks,as the transcamper is an Alpencruzer based model. NR Nova also rings a bell, but not at all sure. The cheaper option is a soft roof bag held on with straps, also a lot easier than dismantling roof bars during set up.

If the transcamper is similar to our old NR Nova trailer tent, then the load rack fits into the circular "bits" on the front and rear corners of the chassis. That is probably a terrible description, but its the best I can do!  Its possible you could make/have made something that'll do the job.

Don't have something like on my parents Pennine Fiesta where the mounting points are screwed into the sides of the trailer body - its makes for a worryingly wobbly set-up!
