When I bought my Venus trailer tent it had a large storage box on the front, very well made and nicely painted but unfortunately it was leaking somewhere at the back L/H side which I found impossible to trace. I spent all weekend going to different diy shops etc but found nothing really good enough, popped back to B&Q today and was looking in the storage box section and just happened to look up on top of the racks and there I saw 2 boxes that looked perfect for the job in hand, bought both at a cost of £65.96 looks like I will be busy this weekend removing old box and fitting new ones, if anybody is interested they can be found in storage box section on B&Q website. johno

sounds a great idea - can you post a link or tell me what it is exactly? I had a quick look on the website and not sure which one it is.
Thanks!

Hi All,
sounds like a much cheaper option [B&Q]
FIXING.....
as far as I can tell you are not allowed to 'drill' the chassis... so 'U' bolts and a plate or similar inside .?
now whether this is just the 'ally' chassis or the galvanized ones as well I can't find out on the web.. just says 'some' chassis are not allowed to be drilled,
mine has 'at some point of time' and had a gas bottle rack bolted to it.
regards
don

My Venus has pre-drilled holes on the A-frame and it was a simple job to fit my storage box to it. Just leave enough room for the trailer cover.

If you go onto B&Q website and type in storage boxes on there search thingy when the page comes up it is the "core storage chest grey large" at £32.98 each, if you have a B&Q warehouse nearby they may stock them, as for fitting the box I took off was held down by 3 nuts and bolts on each side with large washers and locknut's, I just fixed a wooden platform to 4 of these holes and then attached the first box to that with nuts bolts and large washers, on top of the boxes is a recess in each corner so that they can be stacked and I just used a lashing strap on each side to hold the top one in place, very secure and looks neat. I am guessing that my A frame had holes as it doesn't look as though it was drilled and the box I removed had obviously been made to measure. sorry to be long winded but hope I have explained well enough.
