Some of the poles on the front of my trailer tent have white marks on them one has caused the canvas to get a rusty mark on it , how can I remove the white stuff off the poles to prevent further stains ?------------- terry

This is most likely 'White Rust' that can form on zinc-plated items (I assume your poles are yellow passivated zinc?).

When we bought our first TT we were advise to treat the poles with a wipe over with Fabsil to keep them clean and bright. No porblem with avoiding getting it on the canvas as would do no damage

Got some scouring pads and rubbed most of rough White bits off and have applied fabsil , will keep poles out of trailer and keep checking them over the winter , thanks for the advice.------------- terry
