Hello All. I'm a newbie to this forum and also to camping in any format. I have always wanted to have a trailer tent and was recently inspired to purchase a second hand Raclet. I know it's an older model, but I think it was a bargain and will be a pleasant introduction.
I have no idea as yet to what model it is and therefore cannot find any info on the net specific to it, in case I wish to purchase replacement parts etc...
I wondered and hoped that may be able to get some advice regarding this.
I will hopefully have attached a few photos from the ebay advert.
Welcome to the ranks of Trailer Tenters - I was in your position 5 years ago - started with a Bargain Cabanon, which we used for 5 years for summer holidays in Spain and half term holidays in the UK. We have just upgraded to a newer, higher spec Trailer Tent.
Not sure what model your Raclet is, however, id does appear to be in good condition. If it is well looked after, a TT will go on for many years (almost indefinately)
I haven't found pictures of Quickstop that look like mine.
I have only seen ones with the ridge of the tent being central to the trailer, unlike mine which is to one side.
Unless of course that is the design of an older Quickstop model.
I haven't had the weather to erect it yet myself. Maybe I will find some reference to the model and year of make on the frame.
Hi Fionn (and everyone else as its my first post!)
I thought I'd post as I can help you out a bit. Your TT is a Quickstop Compact which is a rare beast.It didnt seem to be that poular compared to the larger Quickstop and after a couple of years it seemed to be discontinued and the tranverse bed design trailer was used for the Raclet Minto instead, which was made up until a few years ago.
I used to have one exactly the same, it was bought by my Uncle in 1989 and given to me when they gave up camping. My freinds in there sleek dome tents used to laugh at it because it did look a bit like a wendy house but I loved it & had some fantastic holidays and fetivals in it.
Last year one of the bed legs snapped off and I sold it on ebay and bought a 1998 quickstop. Maybe I'll be able to afford a new TT one day
Yours looks in fantastic condition for its age so I hope you enjoy it! I've got a scan of the brochure if its any use which I can email or maybe attempt to load on here.

have emailed you , let me know if its not got through. If it has you might want to edit your email address out of your message just in case.
A tip for when you put the TT up, extend the top and side poles in the trailer before you attach the diagonal poles under the beds that clip into the steadys. If you attach the diapgonal legs first and then push up the cabin poles you may end up over-stressing and tearing the canvas
