We have an electric blanket running off 12v, and we always have electric hook up. Would be nervous about oil or gas heaters and risk of fumes or them falling over. Halogen heaters with built in cutout if they fall over are also good and not expensive
Oil radiators I referred to aren't dangerous as they are sealed units.
Halogen heaters are very directional so good if you are sitting in front
