Hi all, is this normal for the brake cable at the Y section to be hanging like this?

On a serious note, it is better to use a lump or lumps, of wood when you are working under trailers and cars.
Bricks can crumble and do so suddenly and with no warning.
What may look safe and secure, will not necessarily be so.
Wood will give you plenty of warning if it is taking too much strain. ------------- Lobey.

Lol thanks for your concern lobey, don't worry I'm a builder. The brick is a hard one and not a soft stock brick. It's only there as a belt and braces job as the the camper has all jacks down with front up as high as she'll go. The drive way is pretty much level at that point, but at the road end has a long slope, I had to buy a winch and fix that to my floor in my garage as I would never get the dam thing up.
Before buying a pathfinder I read how easy it was to push manoeuvre etc ( by a woman as well ) yeah right! She must have been built like a Russian shot putter. ------------- Up there for thinking, down there for dancing. 😎

You should ideally hitch up to the car before raising either side, to prevent the trailer pivoting which bricks, wood etc will not prevent whether you use axle stands or a jack
Our mobile mechanic we used last year for a service did exactly that when taking each wheel off

I drop the jockey wheel first and raise it up then drop then raise the legs. My driveway is so tight I have to winch it up backwards as driveway is long on a incline and narrow.
Bit of a pain , I did get it In my next door neighbours garage, even steeper drive and I only had 2mm either side was a pig to get out so don't bother now. ------------- Up there for thinking, down there for dancing. 😎
