I do know this topic has been aired before but I'm set on purchasing some foam matting to help stop condensation on the left hand side bed. Will any sort of foam matting do (e.g. Something similar to camping mat foam) or is there some particular material?

Any responses from those who have purchased foam matting will be gratefully received.

I'm not bothering with extra bed slats because I need as much storage space as possible

The proper camplet foam bases are much the same as cheap camping mats. They don't work brilliantly,but then neither do the slats. It comes of sleeping in what's basically a glassfibre tub. To make airing easier each morning,a thin strip of wood laid under the mattress,which is then twisted to hold it up ,may help. Others have used the thin silvered insulating foam from b&q to reasonable effect

We have used these type of mats on the right hand side under the slats. Not had any condensation. Don't sleep on the left hand side.

Thanks very much - yes we usually get condensation in colder weather and I prop the grey bedroom base material up hooking it to the metal frame which doubles as a seat back and put the fan heater on into the space to dry it off. It's just a chore drying off the mattress if it is poor weather.

It seems even with the foam matting we'll have the same problem if not as bad

We've been trying polypropylene carpet underlay for the beds in our Dandy and it seems to be working a treat really cheap too as we have a friend who is a carpet fitter.
