This weekend I hooked the camper up before going away to chill the fridge down, with the intention of then keeping it topped up from the car whilst driving to site.
I changed the power selector to 'car' just inside the door but I think I expected to see a light on the fridge, same as the green light when hooked up? An I missing something or does it not have an indicator saying its working?
The fridge stayed cold, but was only on the car for about 90 minutes so hard to tell either way if it worked or not.

Not sure if my fridge is the same in a Quartz 6, I have 2 switches on the fridge, a big green one for using 240v and a small red one for 12v when running on car. I believe for "topping up" while attached to the car the green switch must off and the red switch on.
Hope this helps

Yes I have the red but as there was no light when it was switched on I wondered if I'm doing something wrong.
Could be working fine and I'm expecting a light that doesn't exist.

the 12v fridge circuit (if you car has a black & grey plug) will only work when attached to the car with the engine running Then the red 12v switch on the fridge should be illuminated

but is the Quartz fitted with an old technology fridge .?? my 2005 caravan fridge does not have a 12v indicator mores the pity

Ok worked it out when hitched up to leave site today. Didn't have car running before.
When it was hooked up and running I checked it again and the switch on the fridge illuminated on and off in a regular slow flash. Guess that must be the 'top up' rather than drawing power all the time.

Real test will be if still cold after 6 hour journey in 2 weeks time.
Thanks for your input.
