I have just bought a 2nd hand Sunncamp 400se and have a few questions about pitching it.

At each pegging point, there is a rubber band and a little plastic triangle shaped bit. Which should I use to peg down and what is the other one for?

The linings for the upper bedrooms have long elastic bands. Where should these be attached to?

I have a small skirt to stop draught at the front of the trailer. If has elastic bands in 2 corners and eyelet hoes in the other 2 corners. How is this fitted on?   There are 2 large headed screws which may come out to use as a fitting but the connector plug for the trailer lights is in the way as well.

Any advice you could give would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Sarah

Hi

there are a few instruction manuals for sunncamp 400 on http://www.trailertentforums.co.uk/yaf_topics36_Instruction-Manuals.aspx

Not sure if they answer your questions

Thanks Bob but the instructions are pretty much what I have already read, at least you introduced me to a new forum though.

Pegging points...you peg through the rubber band. The ring is to attach a new rubber band to (you double it through the ring and then back on itself) when the original band breaks.

The linings for the upper bedrooms hook onto the upper cabin poles. There should be a flat brass or plastic S hook on the end of each band. Or do you mean some other band?

The skirt elastic bands just hook onto the two screws you mention. No need to take them out or anything, just stretch the bands a bit. Yes, the lighting connector will get in the way but that's how it's done. Peg down the eyelets if you want, I don't bother because I store all sorts under this bit of the trailer like the spare gas bottle, pegs and mallet etc.

If you mean rubber bands at the bottom of the bedrooms no one seems to know where they go I used to leave mine hanging and never had any problems

Oh, the ones at the bottom of the bedroom pods? No clue. One of these great unsolved camping mysteries, these bottom bands.

Thank you, yes I did mean the bands at the bottom of the bedrooms. I guess the mattress will keep the linings in place.

Yes, the mattress and bedding holds the liner down just fine and allow it to settle in the right place.

One thing about TTs, they've got a huge amount of adjustment in them to accommodate all sorts of lumpy ground and, to a point, weather conditions. So you find it never looks exactly the same every time and the insides have to be able to move a fraction to accommodate this. So don't get too obsessed with lining everything up at right angles and strapped down to within an inch of its life, let the (excellent) design do its stuff without too much fiddling.

We clip ours onto the transit cover buttons at the rear of the bedrooms and as shown in the photo at the front .
