OK, so decision made, we're getting a TT. Only thing is we're not sure what to get or how to go about it, though that last bit probably doesn't make sense!
I was watching a Conway Comanche (I think ???) on ebay which was only 40 mile from me (not often that happens up here) It seemed ok, even had two underbed tents. I sat and stared at it, and ummed and ahhed. The price wasn't going to high, but the writing of the advert kind of put me off as there wasn't much information on it.
It went for £230 this afternoon, and I'm kinda gutted I wasn't brave enough to bid. But I was kinda scared that I haven't a clue about how they go up, towing it, etc etc .
I would like to see one in the flesh before I buy, but as said its not often they are found local-ish to where I live.
Can anyone give me any pointers of how to go about buying one??? (Unfortunately we will have to go second hand as I think the limit is gonna be about £300)
Have a look on Trade-it website, i bought one that was miles and miles away that i saw on Gumtree, always contact the seller and ask them for more pics if you arent satisfied, and if possible go to look at it before committing.....unless you find one close by on eBay with lots of pics.....
they are pretty straightforward to erect but best to practice once or twice before you take it on holiday, they are sturdy in bad weather and are very comfy to sleep in, usually spacious living areas and an on board kitchen which is great, very easy to tow as i had never towed before i picked my first one up and i quite happily drove without any worry.... xx

Have a look on Preloved as well. You can search for trailer tents and put in a maximum value. These are just ads so no bidding, no going to see one and losing the auction by 10pence.

We have just bought a second hand tt we bought ours from a sellar of gumtree. We didnt bother as much with ebay found gumtree and preloved more user friendly I dont like bidding either!
