I know this may of been covered before but not sure how to find it so sorry for rehashing it again.

We have a whale foot pump but i want to replace it with a 12 volt system in our pennine clubman folding camper.

i am right in thinking i can get a whale submersible pump and put in it the water container, then the hose would be fitted to to tap in the sink, the 12 volt supply i would need to put on a switch so i can turn it on and off when needed. is that right or am i thick and got it wrong.

Sounds reasonable to me

Instead of having a separate switch, you could use a tap with a micro-switch built in
