we recently bought our Conway cardinal and i had it home and set and tested everything had the fridge run for awhile then packed it up and done some exterior maintenance to get it ready for its maiden voyage,so we arrived at the camp site for our first trip away Friday gone and set up,when packing the fridge there were quite a few black mold spots in the fridge that wiped away quite easy,what would have caused this?and is there any tricks to the trade to avoid it in future?can i treat will Milton or the likes to kill off any offenders cheers alan

Give it a good clean with something like detox and Always leave the fridge door open when its not in use.

Make sure you leave it slightly open when it is turned off. As long as you have cleaned off any mould spots, just give it a wipe out with an anti-bacterial cleaner and let it dry before you pack it again.

If it is the one I had in my Cardinal, there is no drain plug for the water to drain away when defrosting so you need to make sure it is dry before you pack away for any length of time. I used to put an old towel in the bottom
while it was defrosting to soak up the water.

I hope you have as many good holidays in yours as we did in ours. We had two over the years and only changed to a caravan when old age finally caught up with us!

Most fridges have some form of clip to secure the door slightly open

yep mine has a clip alright i must look t it to see if it stays open or can be put in such a position to keep it open ill be back in at it the weekend ill give it a good clean and leave open cheers and thanks for the replies alan
