Yes Peter, you are quite correct, the Alko Chassis has predrilled Jacking point holes behind the wheels that are subsequently covered if you fit a motor mover.
So yes, I drilled new holes in front of the wheels to take the jacking point shoes.
Naturally Alko advise against drilling holes in their chassis, yet appear to think nothing of drilling holes themselves. This is a bit cockamamie in my view.
I removed these shoes when I sold my FC and will now mount them on my caravan.
I have always preferred a bottle jack from the point of view of being very strong but also easiest to stow away. The only downside of the bottle jack is making sure it is secure under the FC/Van. The Kojack and its mounting shoes eliminate this problem.
