Hi, We are new to the world of trailer tents and have just begun our search. Been to see a Conway Clipper DL and a Cabanon Jupiter and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi
Welcome to the world of TT.
I don't think you will find much difference in the quality it's more down to personal choice and which layout suits you.
I personally like cabanons but wouldn't dismiss conway.
The canvas on both units should be great quality and last for years if well looked after.
I have a cabanon folding camper that is a 2002 model and the canvas is in good shape.
Whatever you buy I would do a test pitch first and give it a good soaking as canvas can leak if it's not been used for a while but once dried out should sort itself out.
Best to check before you use it.

I always understood that the Conway models had Conway trailers with either Cabanon or Marechal canvas. While the Cabanons had Conway trailers and a Cabanon canvas. So if the Cabanon is pre-2004 then it should be built on a Conway trailer.

There is little to choose between conway and cabanon.I have a conway classic and my sister has a cabanon jupiter.they are on a par for quality and are much the same.the jupiter is a lot bigger(maybe too big).i guess it comes down to how big.the clipper is a small ish tent.the jupiter is a monster.i used this plan to decide which was best for my and found it very handy for sizes.good luch and happy camping

Don't know if your still looking but I have a 2006 Cabanon Jupiter for sale. It's like new with loads of extras.
