I would just like to say thanks for the advice on this post re soaking the canvass and stitching. Bought an old combi. 400 a few weeks ago. In very good order and been in very storage for years. Put it up and it rained heavily for a few days...water poured in! However having read these posts I just left it dry out and tried it again last Friday.....delighted to say
dry as bone!!!

No need to fabsil it now it seems.
