What's the towing limit of the Picasso? What's the weight of the camper? I seem to remember the petrol versions had quite a low tow limit compared to the diesel models. We had a 2.0 diesel but it only had 90bhp and it sometimes struggled to tow a 1000kg caravan even though the max tow was 1300kg.

I've just found this as a guide, it may be too heavy depending on the car's limits.

Pennine Pathfinder
Ex works 820kg
Max 1000kg

Hi
I had the 2.0 Picasso diesel and was towing a pennine pathfinder it pulled all right but on some hills it struggled a bit. Have now got a Honda crv 2.2 diesel do not know the pathfinder is on the back, being up the same hills as before no problem.

We towed the penine countryman plus 2 bikes with our Picasso 1.6 petrol. It towed well on the flat, it did struggle a bit on steep hills.

I know someone who complained of lack of power, towing an older model cruiser with the 1.6 petrol picasso and that only 750 kg,max , the Pathfinder is 1000kg max.

Me thinks you may struggle
