This may seem a silly question to seasoned FC users, but do I need towing mirrors with a FC?
My unit is roughly the same width as the car and I can see clearly down both sides, but I can't see over the top of it in the rear view mirror.
When stationery, I can, but as I drive the air is forced under the cover and balloons the transit cover and I can't see.
All thoughts an opionions welcome as normal------------- As a child my families menu consisted of two choices: take it or leave it.

i'm not sure either so would be interested in other's views. I did buy some but they were huge, and would have stuck out too far so dont use them. I feel I am limited in viewing a vehicle that is close behind me, but can see the 10 mile queue behind that.

If you cannot see clearly for a line of sight straight along behind the camper then yes you do . If camper is as wide or wider than the body of the car then almost certainly you will require some.

I think I'll just get some, when I look in both wing mirrors I cannot see the camper, only when I'm turning a corner - and obviously in the rear view mirror------------- As a child my families menu consisted of two choices: take it or leave it.

I'd say you don't need them. If you can see clearly down the sides then that's what matters. If you can't see in the rear view then towing mirrors obviously aren't going to change that.
When we had our TT it was within the width of my car, so towing mirrors were never needed as I could see clearly behind. With our FC which is a bit wider than the (same) car I then needed towing mirrors.

We use mirrors ... allows me to see behind the FC better than without ... can be useful in tight traffic conditions, and for reversing.
