We use airline eye masks and have no problems. Easier to cover your eyes than to try to keep light out of the bed pods. Not sure if you would be able to get children to wear them though. Maybe a good idea to use the eye masks and ear protectors your self that way light wont bother you and you wont hear the kids.....only joking, honest

Same here with our youngest. He is 13 now and if he sleeps past 7.30am you know there is something wrong, no matter how late he went to bed. So when he was little he would always wake up early and I would be off taking him round the campsite for a walk at the crack of dawn to stop him waking his older brother (or anyone else).

We just gave up on the idea of any routine with the kids, or for that matter any ideas of sitting together having a late night natter under the stars with a glass of wine!! In fact we used to pretty much go to bed when they did and get up when they did.

Just be prepared to play it by ear I think is the answer.
