Hi,
I was wondering if anybodody had any ideas on painting the body to my pennine pullman. Its a 1980s model and had some good fun away with thefamily over the last couple of years and reluctant to get rid because of cosmetics.
Have you tried reviving it with T-cut ? I did a fairly good job on the paint on our old raclet. It wasnt easy but with plenty of elbow grease it came up a treat.
To repaint it you would have to sand it anyway to provide a decent key.A mini roller and gloss or satin would finish it ok.
Dulux weathershield is quite good. Not cheap but ok on metal or wood and satin finish.
I would go the revival route first though. A mop attachment on an angle grinder and cutting compound would do it too.Be careful you dont break through the paint if using a machine though.
If you do use a cutting compound or Tcut make sure you polish the paint afterwards as it wont have any protection and will weather easier unless you do it.
