Our matresses seem to be a little soggy and tired, any ideas on how to rejuvinate them - foam overlays?

Is it a folding camper or a trailer tent? If it's a tt with fold over beds, you will need to consider whether it will still fold OK with mattress toppers. Some folders have pull out beds and would probably work fine on these. Personally, we always used airbeds on top of the mattresses in ours as they take up no room when deflated.

Thanks Ronnie, it is a Conway Crusader FC - we were hoping to dispose of pumping up air beds - we have ordered some backpackers bed rolls 4cm thick which may just do the job - fingers crossed - if not it might mean new mattresses!

Am thinking of using a self inflating thin "ish" matress as a topper myself. Friends of ours are camping in a tent next to us and say they are very comfy on theirs?
(Replying whilst led on my matress, thinking it is past it's best. Whilst camping in Dorset)

What do you mean it's too cold to go camping? :)

i have a self inflating mattress to go with my festival tent. it is very comfy on the ground so i imagine on top of a foam mattress it would be even better :-)

Thank you folks, we do have a single self inflating one left over from tent days -= not much good on a double bed but maybe a new double one would be the answer, we are away in it next week so will give the single a work out and see if it would give enough comfiness if it were twice as wide.

You could try using memory foam mattress toppers.

You can get them cut to the required size

We use one in our fc and it makes quite a difference.

You probably won't be able to fold the unit down with the topper still inside; we stow ours in the car whilst travelling!

Any idea where to get replacement mattresses? I'm guessing they're the same for a Pathfinder 600 as a Conway Crusader?

I did e-mail sales at pennine-leisure.co.uk to ask the cost of replacement and I think they quoted £165 for each mattress, quite expensive ....
