Just back from ace holiday in brixham...upton manor farm. Brilliant facilities, survived the storm although awning extension pooled and collapsed....had to invent extra roof bars to support. Decided we need another annex for awning. Its a pennine fiesta, 2000 era, burgundy. Obviously not looking to pay 400 for a new one and nothing on ebay... anyone ....any pointers...
Had exactly the same problem last week but woke up and got to the awning annexe extension before it collapsed (just). Ended up using a couple of curtain rods as extra roof bars.
I have given it some thought since and feel that as the centre of the annexe roof has no support the water starts to pool as it tries to flow over the support bar. Once a small pool forms it just grows from there.
To counteract this, over winter, I intend to send my annexe to TVS and get them to fix about a 3" wide strip of canvas to the outer seam, as an extention to the roof. This will have 4 eyelets which I can guy to and thus pull the roof tight over the support bar so water can run, hopefully, straight over the bar and clear of the rear wall.

Swaggy I had this problem and I fixed it with a line prop on each side.
Search for my post 'pooling' on this forum.
Worked for my Fiesta and makes the awning more stable too.
Also has other benefits.
Thanks Phil for the link, an interesting thread. Certainly more common than I thought. Maybe my tempory solution was the final one. I will give the C clips a try first.
Sorry HH19 if I hijacked your thread. Is the annexe completely unrepairable? Getting it fixed will certainly be cheaper than a new one.

OK Phil, this does seem to be a common problem with water pooling on the roof of the Fiesta.
The line prop idea worked well for me and as long as you have poles on each side to attach the 'C' clips to, they fit easily, the line props can be cut to any length for the awning, annexe or kitchen, just cut to the right length. Just cut the largest tube about a foot short and make the inside one short enough to go inside.
The 'pooling', happened to me when we were at Looe last year, went out for the day when we came back there was about 25 ltrs or water on the top! Luckily it held the weight.
Thanks swaggy and Phil....annexe still good, looking for one for the other side. I went to caravan dealer today. Choice was a central bar 15.99 or 2 poles at 14.99. The central bar had a curve but wasn't convinced the curve was right. I've opted for 2 awning type poles, will need to trim 6" off each but it should give the tension needed. I'm off to wales next weekend so will test it out. I'm going to check out your pooling thread now.
Hi Phil copied your idea yet to try it on the Pullman might get another 2 props and do it all the way up the awning, it was nice to have met you at wheathill hope you are both well
Keith
I fitted mine on the awning Phil, I don't have an annexe but they should fit as long as you have a pole at each end. Run them the length of the annexe though so the water runs off.
Hi Keith, hope you are well and hope you enjoyed your stay at Wheathill. Just come back from Whitby (for the wedding we told you about) off to Shrubbery in Lyme Regis in two weeks time after the kids are back at school.
Take care mate, see you around.
