We currently have an Outwell Vermont L which lives in a Daxara 158 trailer along with a long list of camping 'stuff' we take with us.
This includes:
Outwell Kitchen unit (not needed in TT)
CampinGaz Stove (not needed in TT)
2 x Outwell 5cm SIM's (not needed in TT)
Vango table
Sunncamp table
Gelert wardrobe
2 x Outwell Goya chairs
Bag full of electrical bits and bobs
RCD + cable
Gas lamp
2 x 901 gas bottles
2 x 35 L storage boxes
Weber Q100 BBQ Stand
And a few other things I can't remember!
When towing where could the items that are needed for a TT be stored when we do not want to store them in the car?
How much can you store in the trailer when it is packed up?
Also, I'm struggling to find much detail on the electrical set up on the Camp-Lets or Trigano. Are the lights and sockets I seen mentioned all retro fit? Is there storage space for leisure batteries? Can it be towed with these in place?
Well, I could shove all that lot in my TT, plus all the emergency equipment, inners, curtains, towels, kids toys and sports stuff, bed linen, sleeping bags and towels. Plus all the kitchen pots, pans utensils, plates, buckets etc in the kitchen unit. I've got a classic Conway fold up type trailer tent with side lockers in the trailer for storage in transit and on site plus the well of the trailer for all the bits and bobs needed on site. The only things we carried in the car were the holdalls for clothes, the 3-way fridge, the pillows and a few odds and ends.
You do have to be aware of the payload weight of your TT btw (mine is 125kg) and pack it so that the nose weight is kept to, in practice this means heavy stuff over the axle. You can get a storage box to fit on some drawbars but remember anything in the box has to be counted into the payload, plus the box itself of course. Ditto top racks for bikes, some folk put a roofbox on top but you'd need to be really careful about heavy stuff up in that.
You can leave quite a lot of gear in the TT between trips if you get organised. Make sure your storage boxes fit in the trailer well when it's folded down btw, I found two folding crates were the right height for mine.
Can't help you on the electrics, we just used a standard EHU in our old Conway.
We have a Trigano Galleon with a front box, also has storage in the bench seats and the floor area between the beds. However, the storage under the benches is mostly taken up with the awning, canopy and poles. We still manage to fit in everything we need, inc:
bedding & pillows
1 x table and 4 stools
4 x camping chairs
1 x gas bottle
2 x collapsible storage units (3 shelf food unit type with hard top)
All kitchen utensils go in the kitchen unit.
usual small items - EHU, lights, small heater etc. all fit in ok.
Then use the car just for clothes, cool box. Although we do have a roof box on the car as for long stays we found the kids wanted to bring footballs, tennis rackets, inflatables for the pool! etc.
Lights and sockets don't come fitted, so that would be a DIY job.
If anyone is wondering where I keep the awning, canopy and poles for the Conway I usually fold the awning back over the cabin and then fold the cabin down into one package. The pole bag gets put on top and the transit cover goes over. I carry quite a lot of odd and ends under the transit cover like the kite bags, the pop up tent and the tripod for OH's camera. On our last TT we used to carry a fold flat travel cot under the transit cover on top of the canvas, securely roped on of course.
