Hi

WE have recently renewed our C&CC insurance for tha Dandy and they now stipulated that we need a wheelclamp.

When we bought it we couldn't get one to fit (it has little wheels and small/low wheelarches) so opted for a hitchlock.

Does anyone know a suitable brand/device?? Otherwise I guess we need to take it up as an issue with the company. It doesn't help that the routine paperwork is obviously labeled up for caravan security. (rather than folding campers)

thanks

nicola

The ideal wheel clamp for you is the Bulldog Euro Clamp

Towsure do it for £54.95 but I couldn`t get a picture from their website

If you`re in C&CC  I think theres 10% discount to be had off everything at Towsure

We have one of the SAS clamps that go round the tyre - don't take the wheels off.  We asked about storing it on axle stands with the wheels being stored at another address but were told 'no good, it has to be a wheel clamp etc.

Doesn't make sense to me. Surely its would be safer with the wheels somewhere else.

Very interesting, will see what happens when my camping and caravanning insurance comes in, as it will be impossible to fit a wheel clamp onto my unit in the garage, the only way will be to knock the garage wall down no chance, did have on last years renawl I should fit a wheel clamp, phoned them up and said the unit is locked up in the garage and if you are a better person than me come and try to fit a wheel clamp if you are only 3 inches thick, their reply dont worry does not include units that are garaged, will have to wait and see in September, may be they have a person now who has been run over by a steam roller so they can come and fit and remove the wheel clamp when required by me ....LOL
