Hi everyone, I'm looking for some advice on what trailer tents I can tow with my seat Ibiza 1.2. I've had a look at my cars manual and if I'm correct i think I can tow up to 800kg if the trailer has a braking system, or as it says 'braked'. Also if anyone has towed one with an Ibiza or similar small car. A change of car is not an option for me so any help would be most appreciated. Lisa
Hopefully you've had the chance to look at the replies on the next page down on this forum about towing with a small car. Some of the replies mention a 1.2.

There is a surprising amount of variation in towing capacities within models, and what a 1.2 can tow will vary significantly, based on year of manufacture, manual / automatic, petrol / diesel etc etc. The 1.2 Ibizas vary from 800kg to 1,100kg, depending on exact model.
As you, quite rightly, say, though, this relates to braked trailers only. All folding campers are braked, and all trailer tents over 750kg need to be, as well.
The Ibiza can tow between 540 and 570kg unbraked, which will cover you for all but the very largest trailer tents.
With regard to actual towing experience, can't help with that, I'm afraid.
