I'm a new member of the site AND a new Conway Cardinal Clubman owner (new to me anyway!) and I'm after your kind help if possible!
I am going to spend the next 6 months giving my lovely fc a bit of tlc ready for next season! and this is the reason I'd like to ask for your help! I'm not asking for much help - honest!
1) is it possible to buy the rubber seal that sits all the way around the underside of the hard top (and also does anyone know if this is to create a seal to prevent rain from entering the camper during transit etc.)
2) Does anyone know the model number and/or dimensions of the (presumably Electrolux) fridge that came as standard with a clubman?
3) Does anyone know what the rubber foot pump for the water is called - I've looked and keep finding that it is a whale but that appears to be a primer whereas I am looking for a micro switch cover
4) has anyone ever replaced the 5" tall plywood section at either front or back - due to a small amount of rot - any advice on this would be most welcome!
Many thanks in advance for any guidance you can offer!
(1) Worth having a word with Graham Shuck at Tent valeting Services, in Bolton. They acquired all of the stock when Conway were taken over by Pennine, and it's amazing what stuff they have there. always the first port of call for anything Conway.
(2) The fridge would either be the Electrolux, or, depending on year, maybe the Dometic. both manuals are available to download on the Appliances Page of the Conway Ownwers Club
(4) I've never, actually, replaced the strip you're talking about, but I have replaced similar areas, and it's a pretty straightforward job, with a few basic DIY skills.
Good luck with the project.

Wow - Thanks Blue Sky Pennine! I never expected such a quick and concise reply!! I think I underestimated the passion of the forum!
I think you are definitely right in that all roads lead to Graham at Tent Valeting... I'm going to be giving him a call about inner tents and sliding rails today anyway as some of my research led to them already!
I'll post how I get on just in the interest of anyone else's repair research in the future...

------------- We know there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns - the ones we don't know we don't know - these are the difficult ones...
One other question which I failed to mention was to do with the handbrake - and I should probably open this as a separate question but I'll try my luck here first...
The handbrake pulls on ok and stops the fc from moving forwards, but push backwards and it moves as freely as if the handbrake was not applied... I'm guessing that this is 'something' to do with the whole mechanism that applies the brakes when you brake, but allows you to reverse despite both movements being similar on the hitch???
Again any advice or guidance would be very gratefully received!
Thanks,
Sid

This is to do with the way the brakes are applied, on a standard over run braking system, and is perfectly normal, however, it should only happen until both brake shoes have engaged, so your camper should roll back no more than 10 or 12 inches before coming to a full stop. This explains it in a bit more detail; Operation of the over run braking system

If you go to the Conway Owners Club website you will find much to help you including erecting instructions that can be downloaded and printed and video clips showing how it should be put up.
The site also includes a Forum and if you join that any queries you may have will be answered within a couple of days by current or past owners of Cardinal Clubmans.
Although there are lots of benefits in joining the Conway Owners Club there is open access to most of the website including the parts that can help you.
Thanks Tony!
I'll head over for a gander! Hopefully a membership is within budget!
