Hi everybody, we're looking at upgrading from Outwell Vermont L tent to a trailer tent & Ive got the option of getting a Trigano Vedome for £795 or a Cabanon Saturn for £580....as a newbie to trailer tents, an expert opinion would be appreciated
Hi there,
I used to have a trigano TT about 10 years ago, can't comment on more as the trigano was the only TT we ever bought, It was an absolute dream. Easy to tow easy to set up, strong and sturdy, loads of storage without even settings up the awning, we had the most best of times in ours, and so comfortable.
Not sure if you have any knowledge on TT but please make sure you check for damp, sometimes TT have been put down damp and left to rot! Such a shame (typical British weather).
Please make sure you see it fully opened check for weakness to floor (spongyness) open cupboards and check also.
Make sure electrics work inside and out and that its tow worthy again electrics, tyres, chassis not rusted.
Hope this helps and most of all if its good to go ENJOY happy camping.😁😁😁

If you didn't see it with your own eyes, or hear it with your own ears, don't invent it with your small mind and share it with your big mouth!
Hi Paulx, we used to have a Cabanon Saturn and we loved it, we upgraded to a folding camper after about 3 years with the Saturn. The only reason we upgraded really was because of the pegging out, just like a tent they have to be pegged out all round. Having said that they are very spacious inside, using the mattress and the seat cushion makes king size bed on both sides. We certainly miss that with our FC.
As louloulayno says give it a good check over first pay attention to the tyres in particular, I found that the ones I had were quite old and was horrified to turn up at a camp site in Somerset (some 100 miles from home) and one tyre was almost ripped to pieces!
We had many happy holidays in ours.
Whichever one you choose I'm sure you will be delighted.
Happy holidays.....
We're upgrading from an Outwell Vermont L so we're used to pegging.
Im waiting on photos & report on the Trigano, so swaying towards the Cabanon at the moment because of the price, but im told the Trivano are slighty better quality although not much in it
thanks for your input guys
Cabanon probably shade it in quality,(biased? me?)though trigs are pretty nice, but the painted poles on some can rust and stain the canvas. The cabins on the trig go up easier and don't they have slatted beds? Trigs have an external mud skirt, which some like,I prefer the internal, which the groundsheet can overlap,it's also out of the way whilst pegging.
