We are looking to buy a family trailer tent, having camped for several years. Our tent has a sewn-in groundsheet so no insects or other pests can come into the tent. How effective are the trailer tent zipped/sewn in groundsheets? My wife is terrified of the thought of mice coming in! Also which models would you recommend?
Ours has a zip in groundsheet but it only zips round 3 sides. It can't zip along the edge by the trailer itself.
We have had no problems with insects or rodents. If a rodent wants in it will just chew through any tent material anyway regardless.
Because you sleep up off the floor there is no comparison in terms of comfort compared with a tent.
I won't recommend any models because you don't say what you need. I can tell you why we chose ours though and that was because it has huge beds and only 4 poles to put the awning up with.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
