I don't have a trailer tent, but I do have a trailer I carry my tent in, so I thought this might be the best place to put this query :-)
I want to get a spare wheel for my trailer, but need some advice on what to get.
This is what is stamped on the wheel:
SL002 ET3 4J 13
The tyre is a 155/70 R13.
When type these values into Google, I get a myriad of results, which doesn't really pinpoint exactly what I need. Can anybody point me in the right direction or give me a clue as to what I need to look for?
The wheel will be standard caravan size & you can buy one from any caravan shop unless you can find one secondhand. From your description I can't tell whether it is Alko size 100mm pcd or if it is 5.5inch pcd or 130mm pcd. On 4 stud wheel pcd is measurement between centre stud holes across wheel centre.
Measure yours as described. I would suggest you buy bare rim from shop & get tyre fitted at tyre depot then it will be balanced. If you buy a secondhand rim then tyre size does not matter because it would be better to have a new tyre fitted anyway.
I think this is what you are looking for:

If this is wrong they may have something to match your old wheel. The important bits are the PCD of the studs, the offset and the diameter of the hole in the middle.
The PCD is 100mm, and the diameter of the centre hole is 57mm. The offset is 30mm (I put ET3 in my original post, but it is in fact ET30). The stud hold is 18mm.
Looking at various wheels and I can't seem to find one where all those values match.
It is made by a Polish firm called Boro. I bought it from a company called Breeze Boats based in Norfolk. They were importing them by the container load and sold lots of them. Like an idiot I didn't buy a spare wheel at the time, and now it looks like they are no longer trading as their website no longer exists. Grrrrrr!
Hang on, I think I've just found them. Looks like they have changed their company name. I'll get in touch with them and see if they can help.
The wheel is a standard caravan fit as fitted to lightweight caravans up to early 1990s. 4j might be difficult to source new as all I can find of otherwise correct size is 4.5j, ie half inch larger rim width which should fit ok.
If you can find a wheel off a 1980s small ABI caravan like Monza or Marauder then that will be size you want, ie 4j.
Yes I did find one in the end. I got in touch with the original seller. They used to be called Breeze Boats, but are now called http://www.paultrailers.co.uk.
They were able to supply me with the spare I needed.
