Just incase this is any use to anyone, in lidl at the moment they have a sun sail. We boought one last year and instead of using for its purpose, used it with poles that are meant to hold up the kitchen window on our trailer. It made a perfect sun porch, perfect height and very secure.
We attached one end to the awning just with guy ropes. Made a huge difference to our camping last year!

We've already got one. I've bought a couple of extra poles and some tarp grip thingies this year to make it more configurable. For twenty squid they're well worth a go IMHO>

It's sort of hexagonal if you lay it out flat if that helps. We've been pleased with ours and it rained quite a bit last summer.
