I've noticed these FC's come with 4ft wide beds. How are people finding them in terms of having enough room to move and comfort levels? I should imagine a lot of people are used to king sized beds at home like us or even super king sized.
How do you find moving from a king size to a 4ft bed when in the camper? Are you constantly elbowing or pushing your partner out the bed?
We don't find it an issue at all (which surprised me, as well). We have a king size bed at home, but haven't found it to be a problem, so far. We could use the front bed, which is 4'6", but my wife prefers the rear bed as she feels a bit enclosed in the front, with the wardrobe and toilet compartment on each side so we stick to the smaller one, and it's been fine for us.

Unless we take the grandchildren we sleep one each side. No being disturbed by each other moving in the night and best of all my hubby can't poke me if I start snoring!

We don't find it a problem. It's funny how you adjust to a smaller space. I wouldn't like to share with anyone other then my husband but because we are used to sharing a bed (40 years now) its never been a issue. Like Mrs Mouse if its just the two of you just sleep either side.
We have a bed each - its nice to be a little bit further away from the snoring! Our daughter has been sleeping in an inner tent in the awning but is starting to sleep in a pup tent outside.
Sounds like quite a few of you are making use of the second bed to sleep separately. Maybe this more to do with the snoring though rather than the lack of space :)
I'm hoping to go to the NEC in October so maybe I should take my pj's and we can have a go in the bed :)
My husband and I tend to use a bed each. He snores and I fidget and am constantly hot so it works for us. I also don't like being closed in in the front bedroom. However, if it's really cold we sleep together in the 'kingsize' bed for warmth.
We have a Pathfinder and the biggest disappointment for us was the size of the "kingsize" and "double" beds which are in fact a double and a large single........not quite sure how they have got away with advertising them as a kingsize and double.
We have two small kids (8 & 7) that used to be able to share the double bed in our previous fc's but with the pathfinder one being so small we now need to use the sofa as well.....
The Pathfinder beds are 4'6" and 4'. Officially, these are classed as 'double' and 'small double' respectively, so, yes, 'kingsize' and 'double' is taking the pee a bit. Both are 6 inches narrower than they should be to warrant their description.

Lol, this made me giggle. We have a king size at home, but it never occured to us about sleeping in separate beds.On a different thought I did think about a memory topper for the bed, but then realized I couldn't use the electic blanket if I did.

Actually, you can. These are perfectly safe to be used together. In some ways they are, in fact, actually better, because of the way they work. The concerns around the memory foam ones stem from the fact that that they are temperature sensitive, and adjust in line with the temperature around them. This means that they are firmer in cold temperatures, and softer in warm temperatures. The fact that they absorb warmth is a bit of a bonus, as it keeps you warm underneath, as well, though it is recommended that you place a normal blanket between the electric one and the mattress, and that you start with lower settings and work up until you get the balance right.
