I have read a few posts on here about people using inner tents to put in the awning for their children. Do people put them in the annexe part of the awning which is short in height or are most people talking about putting an inner tent in the higher part of the awning so using a large part of your living spce? Children not keen on sleeping in the awning but like another post somewhere else mentioned if it had two camp beds and foam on top, they may do this I think.
Any views appreciated.
I bought my 8 year old niece a pop up festival tent (£25) and she sleeps in the tent in the awning. I leave the door open on the folding camper all night. We use some of the foam mats on the floor under the tent and she sleeps in her 3 season bag on an air bed. Absolutely loves camping and having her own tent. It helps that the tent is in her favourite colour....purple and she has her own wind up torch. Appreciate this may change as she gets older but she has been camping since about 18 months old and loves the outdoor life.
We also use a popup tent in the awning. Beauty of them is they are easy to fold down during the day leaving the awning space free of obstructions. So much more convenient than a awning bedroom tent. We place the bed and bedding on one of the permanent beds during the day.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
