lo I hope its simple have bought some tape though to colour code poles am hoping keef can help with diagram then we have a start ,thanks so much for helping had the trailer bit with the beds up ,that seemed simple but couldn't attatch awning as garden not big enough ,Pickering here we come ,i shall let you know next week how we got on praying for no rain
Hope you get on ok! once you get your poles colour coded, draw a small "map" that you can put in the car so it's easy to get to when you need it! also make sure your step is easy to get to as I always found I need a bit extra height when putting the poles up nearest the trailer tent as well as zipping the last little bit of awning onto the trailer tent.
As you stand looking at the trailer tent remember the door entrance is to the left so that will give you a bit of a clue when it comes to laying your poles out.
Thanx everyone for all your support found this site very good ,to say I just come across it by accident .Its really good to find a place thats so friendly and helpful for the novice camper
Thanks all ,finally got tent up in 2 hours it's now fully colour coded and it didn't leak what a laugh though
Can't wait to go again
Thinking of cornwall any nice sites with v clean facilities
Thanks for all your support and helpful advice ,even though it rained through night it was sunny in day
Now what did bug me a little is you can't pitch with Caravan's why's that!! You have to go on the farest field away from everything and thread your electric lead through bushes is this the same through out sites in england??
I find it a bit of a pain A trailer tent is as big as a caravan if not bigger love your responses
Glad I found this thread as I was going to ask about putting up the awning on my newly aquired Sumpcamp 350, which we hope to try next week. Have had the main sleeping section up with the help of my sister in law, and that wasn't a problem - but was wondering about things like zipping the awning on then folding it over the main frame, or putting on the frame first then zipping onto the awnings. Going to print this page off and put it with instructions. Apart from anything else some of the replies maked me smile.
Hi - I have tried to download the instructions from the Sunflair website, but I think they have been removed. Does anyone have a copy that they could email to me please
I can't tell you how relieved I was to see that maybe its not us being daft but others find it difficult to put up the 400SE awning. I loved the instructions that included the swearbox. I would add that you need a good divorce solicitor present !
Anyway, we've finally got down from 5 hours and a lot of help from a very kind fellow camper to 2.5 hours with help from a friend so getting better. BUT now we've lost the instructions - I think it was deliberate myself ! I see that some of you have the ability to sent them though via email and wondered if one of you would be kind enough to let us have a copy please ?
I dont think Mr Keef will have what you need (been there already) as his TT is a 400 with an hexaganal awning. I have copies of the instructions, but I dont have the pole diagram.
