I'm looking for a bit of advice please. We bought our trailer earlier this year and went away a few times, unfortunately due to car trouble we haven't been able to take it out for 4 months but we are away now and when we were putting it up there was mould on the toilet door and underneath the fold away table, can anyone please offer any advice as to why we have mould and how to prevent? We have put all our money into this and need to treasure it for many years, any advice appreciated. It is stored on drive with a winter cover. Many thanks in advance x
Think you might be best posting in the trailer tent section... When we bought our fc, we were told we should air it every 6-8 weeks or so, but that lots of people left theirs shut up all winter and then got a shock in the spring.
Having said that, we haven't aired ours since August and need to get round to it soon!
We get a bit of mould in the wardrobe- I think it's just a particularly cold surface so gets a bit of condensation damp.
Hopefully you'll be able to give it a good airing on holiday.
Ensure it is tilted i.e. wind jokey wheel up as far as it will go so that there is a slope to encourage water run off
I used to put mu roofbox between the travel cover and the winter cover ... thus doming it and aiding water run off. Some people other padding to create a dome.
As stated above ... if you post on the TT/FC section, you'll get a lot more advice and responses.
