Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum and I'm located in the States. North Carolina to be exact. Anyway, I ran across this trailer tent on the internet and decided to go take a look at it (it was advertised at $100).
When I got to look at it, it was missing the end of the canvas, multiple rips and tears, and needs help. Badly. I went to leave, saying I couldn't give $100 for a project, and the guy offered it to me for $30. I countered with $20 and now it's in my yard.
Is there any support for these old things? I'd dearly love to bring it back to life, I can handle everything but actually making a new canvas for it. Any input would be appreciated and welcomed. Any questions you might have that I haven't asked would be appreciated also.
Try combi - camp website they might be able to help. but it looks old. Keep the canvas and ask Bear Creek canvas who do Pop Up campers canvas in the USA, if they can do a copy.
Oh wow! It looks like you've got a "big orange" - Combicamp 2000. We had one for a year or two while we decided whether or not to give up tent camping. Can't find a pic but will try later.
hello , it looks like you have got an old 71 model, we bought one when they came . It hasn't been very vell kept, a big job are ahead, if it ever will be possible to restore. Here in Dk. we have one person that use to work at CC factory, he have a lot of spare parts, if you want I will ask him if he should have a tent for that model, or have you tryed a US tent manufactor..
have a nice day
Henning..
Hi! Thanks for all the responses, if you don't mind checking on those things for me I would really appreciate it. I've contacted tent manufactures here in the States and they all need the old tent plus $1500 minimum to make me a new one. All in all the body isn't in bad shape, it's just the canvas that'd terrible.
hello.
I have been in contact with that person mentioned,in the comming week he will look and see if he should have such tent as needed, though ,it might not be excactly that model,CC changed color now and then, blue green orange white, so you must take what he eventually can offer, I will phone him sometime next week, he told me that he is 82 year old, told him that I was the oldest 83, he doesn't send items so I will have to pick it up and send, if it comes that far. contact me by PM , it is easier than connect here.
have a nice weekend
