Just got a 2006 Conway Crusader but the horizontal tie bars of the cooker side are bent (I think because previous owner closed the beds without releasing the tie bar). This makes it very difficult to adjust so want to replace with a new one.... just wondering how difficult it is to do - anyone have experience/advice?

Hi, it's a doddle just undo the bolt and nut joining centre vertical bar and pull out the horizontal bar from one end. (you may have to push in a button) depending on year of model , attach new bar to that end and repeat operation to other end , try and have an extra pair of hands available to help. Finish by putting nut and bolt together.
Job should take less time than it does for the kettle to boil
Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply 846rosie. In the end the guys at Pennine needed some exact measurements of the bar before they could supply a replacement so I ended up taking the camper back to the factory and they replaced the damaged poles. (Great service from Nick and the team at Pennine)
