Well we did it at last we bought Raclet Jasmin from The Tent shop at Billing , on saturday and took it straight away camping to a car show. its was really good apart from sorting all the poles and taking 3 hours to put the awning up...just cant wait for 14/15 may when we go to Billing Aquadrome.
Followed your T/T search through the Raclet home page (Raclets are great t/t's), we used our Jasmin at the weekend for the first time and had the same problems in setting up. Apart from that it was great and we got running water through the tap. Good luck for the next trip. Let me know of any problems and we can try and help each other.
Glad you are as mad as the rest of us. only 3 hours to put the awning up,, you did well. The first time we took 4 and a half hours. Mind you my parents came to help, help not being quite the right word. You see we had tried and had nearly finished when they turned up. Go for a break they said and we will fiinish off. So taking their advice we went off to the local village and found a good pub. When we came back the awning and poles were all neatly laid out on the feild, dad had decided to start again. I think my husband could have hit him with the poles, but had to pretend to be nice instead. Eventually 4 and a half hours later the awning was on. The moral of the story is don't ask parents to help.
We had our 3 kids as well as the parents to contend with, but it has not put us off. The awning gets easier each time you do it. As i said before just don't ask the parents to help.
