We currently have a 2006 Conway crusader, and I am looking to make putting the awning up easier so I'm thinking about adapting the zip with the figure of 8 and using an inflatable awning, maybe half size but preferably full size.
Does anyone have any experience or advice ?
If you wanted to leave everything "stock", so any "mod" could just be detached, I suppose one 1/2 of a compatible zip, sewn to a length of awning bead and then just use as *long a lengths of fig of 8 as you can find, to slide the awning in...?
One downside I can see to the above, is that it would increase the distance between the awning and the camper' wall..?
(*I recall someone on here finding them in 6ft lengths?..instead of the measly little 2ft-ish lengths!)
We bought Pennine porch air awning for our 2010 Conway Crusader folding camper last year and it is great..much quicker & easier to put up & down than the full awning.
ged, here is a quick link to your post, unfortunately all your Photobucket pics no longer work.
